The dot-matrix paper & text effect was inspired by 80’s style printers, and Adventures of Superman (1987) #467.

The zip-tone comic book effect seen throughout was inspired by the classic Toy Biz Batman 1989 movie tie-in card-backs.

An alternate title-page treatment. This was still in concept presentation phase. If approved, then I would have placed the comic book zip-tone effect seen in the final publication.

Another concept for the interior blank pages. Utilizing movie stills provided by Warner Bros., the idea was meant to be the viewer looking up into the sky, and eventually the Bat-signal would appear.

A simple adjustment of where the movie still should be placed. Fortunately, not using this concept would assist me in the series follow-up Batman: Revolution.
